About Us

The Retired Washington State Patrol Employees Association (RWSPEA) is an organization that represents the interests of all WSP retirees…commissioned, merit system, disabled, and survivors.  The organization was formed as a group of WSP retirees, both to foster a social venue for retirees and to provide a unified voice that safeguards retiree rights and communicates retiree perspectives.

Among the many roles of the organization, the RWSPEA keeps tabs on legislation that pertains to retirees, working closely with the WSP and the WSPTA on retirement issues and concerns.  A representative of the RWSPEA holds a position on the Select Committee of Pension Policy whose role it is to study issues and policies affecting the state’s public employee’s retirement systems and make recommendations to the Legislature regarding changes.

There are normally two gatherings of retirees during the year.  One is held in the Phoenix, Arizona area in the early spring and the second is the annual business meeting held in the Washington.  The annual meeting is normally a four day event for members and their spouses to socialize and conduct the annual business meeting.

This website is to provide a forum for communication, share information and above all, keep the membership informed.

To gain access to the secure web site you must be a paid up or lifetime member of RWSPEA.  The Association currently represents approximately 1500 retired Washington State Patrol retirees.  Any retired Washington State Employee or an active employee eligible to retire may join RWSPEA.

Happy retirement to all retirees and looking forward to hearing from you on the membership side of our website.
